THE EXTRA BED
To Prepare for Sleep...
STEP 1:
Lift and move entire futon about 18 inches into the room before opening flat.
STEP 2:
Lift wood frame in front and slowly pull toward you until futon is flat. (#2A above center)
STEP 3:
Push platform portion back to center over sides (#2B above center)
STEP 4:
Please use [1] mattress pad provided, then put on your [2] fitted sheet, [3] top sheet, and [4] blanket(s). You can also use the quilt in the TV console unit. Pillows are in the ottoman and the bedroom closet.
To Close...
Remove all bedding.
Pull platform forward. Use instruction #3A, B, & C (on right side of diagram above) to bring back to a seated position, making sure it clicks into place in an upright position.
To put the mattress back in a comfortable position, step #4 helps in pushing the front edge of the mattress/seat closer to the front of the platform. The back will appear high and make it quite comfortable for lounging.
